In recalling Junkanoo Summer 2010, I also recall my first and last significant meeting with a young culturepreneur of my beloved Bahamian family, Lavard Curtis. Lavard migrated to the heavens with his
colleagues as a result of the tragic charter plane crash in Nassau on Oct. 4th. Enjoy that beauty-full world, Lavard, in the company of the Christ, your loving mother, Jackie, and the other beloveds who preceded and accompanied you there. The uplifting Love of the Comforter to those who will miss you so much here and who will ever wrap their minds and hearts around your sweet memory. A short life lived so wonderfully. "Well done, good and faithful servant!"
